Precinct 287Civic Association

Precinct 287 Civic Association was founded in July 1973 in a city-wide effort to bring small subdivisions together into neighborhood associations. It originally included Willowbrook, Post Oak Manor and parts of Willowbend subdivisions. In 2021 the bylaws were amended to include ONLY the Willowbrook and Post Oak Manor subdivisions.

Today, Precinct 287 Civic Association continues to enjoy low crime rates due to a combination of its security patrol of off-duty Houston Police officers and a close community of neighbors watching out for each other. In addition to our security patrol, Precinct 287 Civic Association provides the following amenities:

  • Coordinates, promotes and provides supplies for beautification projects

  • Coordinates and supplies National Night Out events

  • Distributes welcome bags to new residents

  • Places heavy trash reminder signs

  • Selects yard of the month for each subdivision

  • Provides lost pet assistance

  • Advocates for our neighborhood with District K and the Super Neighborhood 38

  • Publishes and distributes quarterly newsletters
